Dan Howard began working at already certified organic Dirnberger's Farm in 1992. In 2002 he purchased it from Dirnberger and changed the name to Homestead Organic Farms. From the beginning of his involvement in Organics Dan was drawn to the natural healthy lifestyle. It was this continued awareness of the healthy benefits that lead him to the purchase of the farm. Both he and his wife Cindy live in the middle of one of the Avocado Groves so he is very aware of the importance of Organic agriculture to his family and those around him.
Homestead Organic Farms is one of the last remaining Organic Farms in Homestead Florida. They grow winter vegetables specializing in Green Beans. During the summer they have a wide variety of Organic Tropical fruit from Lychee to Jackfruit. With many varieties of Avocados picked and packed to take you through the summer season.
